Curbar Edge - The Peak District
If you're looking for a short outing in the British countryside then Curbar Edge is the place for you.
Just a brisk 10-minute walk from the designated parking area, Curbar Edge provides spectacular views of interesting rock features scattered along the escarpment and as a result, lots of overhangs to explore. You can also see Chatsworth Park in the south on a clear day. It is also a popular place for rock climbers and dog walkers. I personally would keep my dog on a leash, from fear of falling, but many people let their animals run free, children would also need supervision at all times.
If you struggle with walking or don't find it particularly fun, Curbar Edge gives all the benefits of a long hard hike but without the effort. However, you can make it a 6.5-mile walk by including the Froggatt Edge Walk.

Wow, what a view. And the cliff hanging out over the slope was cool. The photographer really managed to get the depth right.

I like the peak district too. It's one of the UKs most underrated national parks IMHO
#8 Its definitely underrated! I have done many activities there such as caving, rock climbing, scrambling and water rafting! It's a fab place to go.

What is scrambling?

#10 It's like rock-climbing but without the ropes, it takes a lot of knowledge and confidence about how your body works so you can manoeuvre up hills and mountains or through gaps you thought you'd never be able to squeeze through.
