Travel Recommendations for Switzerland

Image 1. Click to open in original size.

My boyfriend and I will be taking a bus and train from Tรผbingen, Germany (Southwest part of Germany) to Switzerland for a few days in June.

We know we want to do some hiking and sightseeing.

Have you been to Switzerland? Have recommendations for places to see, and places to stay?

A bus and train, how long will that journey take?!

But I haven't been to Switzerland myself, however, I have seen a few of these video of this Mountain Coaster and it looks like a lot of fun!

All the best, Leia

Interesting country with nice inhabitants - a very clean country, but they had some old ideas. My memories from the 5 weeks I spent there in 1981 with my Volvo PV 44 from 1957  are perhaps not interesting to others today.  I loved it.

#1: I have done that once. In Sweden when I was a teenager. It wasn't that fast though. ๐Ÿ™‚

#3 I would be interested to hear what your favorite places were there? Did you hike? Camp? Was it during the winter or summer? Did you go to Lauterbrunnen?

I was invited by friends. I had my car and we could drive around. It was a Volvo PV 444 from 1957. A lot of people asked me about it.

I think a lot have happened in Switzerland since my visit there in June and July 1981.

#6: I suppose you no longer have the car. They are rare. ๐Ÿ™‚

#7 A lot of people asked me to sell it to them. They asked me when I parked it. My son got it and sold it to somebody in Germany.

#6 They are stunning cars! I remember seeing one once at a classic motor show I went to with my Dad many years ago.

#7 Indeed they are! Not only are there not many around anymore, but even less sold.
